Judie Raiford

Judie Raiford
Judie B. Raiford became a full time gold/silversmith in 1970. She has taught metalsmithing, the business of art, juried and judged art shows. In 1996 she opened Raiford Gallery representing 400 artists – a venture that has taught her how to be situational extrovert. She continues working 60 hours a week in her absurdly equipped studio, listening to audio books, playing with her ridiculously expensive toys and dodging the wet tongues of the dogs who rescued her.

Berlin Randall

Berlin Randall
Berlin Randall is an Atlanta native, born and raised in Cobb County. She spent many years in advertising, print media and the web design industry. In late 2003 she left the corporate world and began taking metalsmith classes at a local art school. She now works two days a week as Judie’s bench assistant, but the rest of her time is spent making her own original designs. Her designs are filled with textures, layers and gemstones mixed with clean lines and movement.

Michael Clay

Fallow Deer Magnifying Glass

A few words about Michael Clay, Artisan
“I can do that!”
And so began his quest in 1992 to become a self-taught artisan in
creating items in the rustic tradition. He didn’t have the training but
had the eye. Items like bookcases, mirrors, frames and more were
rustically created and expressed with twigs/limbs, the bark from trees and antlers that are seasonally shed by animals such as elk and deer.
In all, he was passionately inspired by nature with regular travel to northern Michigan along with constant visits to museums, antique shows and be-friending several good carpenters and rustic artisans along the way. His creations blend extraordinarily well into rustic and contemporary settings.
